Koko Masako, born Toshiko Masako Jackson was born in Oakland, California and grew up in Liberty Lake Washington, a city outside of Spokane Washington. She attended college at the University of Washington where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. She was also part of the Women's Track Team at the University of Washington where she broke the records in both the 400 meter race and the 4x400 meter relay. She started out sports modeling but after being involved in a snowmobile accident, she started taking acting classes while she was healing from her injuries. She first started studying acting at the Freehold Theatre in Seattle, Washington and also attended the Northwest Actors Studio in Seattle. It was there she decided to move to Los Angeles and continued her studies at places like Playhouse West, with William Alderson, Beverly Hills Playhouse, Ruskin School of Acting and was an intern at A Noise Within Theatre. She is a member of Sag-Aftra and AEA and continues to act on stage, film and television.
