Matt Madden was born in Slidell, La. to Mark and Trannie Madden. His father was a materials manager at Lockheed Martin and his mother was a kindergarten teacher and later a homemaker. Matt's mother is of Welsh and Cajun French descent and his father is Scotch-Irish. Matt grew up with a love of sports. His impressions of Saturday Night Live characters have also been a passion of his since his youth. At Slidell High School, Matt tried out for the Golf team for 3 weeks of free golf, but inevitably became an award-winning letterman on the football team. Matt attended University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 2001 with an athletic scholarship. In his final year, he took his second elective in acting and has been pursuing a career in the field ever since. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Matt attended Louisiana State University and enrolled in the Drama for Majors program at LSU. In this semester, he did his first college play "Who Killed the Kingfish?", inspired by the murder of Huey P. Long. After scoring his first feature role in "Down in New Orleans", Matt was cast in the Louisiana-shot action feature "Girls Gone Gangsta", sharing screen time with the great John Goodman. His career has been going strong since, appearing in feature, television, and commercial work.
