Christopher Eric Outridge (CEO) began writing at the tender age of 12 years old. Inspired, mainly by simple games and role playing, with his oldest sister, his fascination grew. Chris started with poetry, and the more he learned about the world of the literary arts, the more he expanded into other forms of the creative word. The more he wrote, the more he came to love the process of creating and telling stories. Chris started writing stories in the form of fan fiction based on his favorite video game and television characters. Chris' imagination grew as he started to create his own original characters for his stories. Chris began to explore other aspects of the entertainment industry after performing in school plays during junior high and high school. In college, Chris majored in Film Production and channeled his passion and creativity into learning filmmaking and editing. To him, editing a film gives him an adrenaline rush to the brain and allows him the luxury to visually develop the worlds he pens in his poems, stories and novels. To Chris, the enjoyment of being a writer is more than just developing the story. It is to be able to create a world that he could populate and oversee. The reader has to be able to visualize the world and characters they are reading about, as if they are actually there. It is very important to him that his work be as real as possible. The reader should be able to feel for the characters as if they are real people. Chris accomplishes this by writing from his own experiences, as well as the experiences of those around him. Chris is definitely not afraid to be controversial when he writes, even if he knows the reaction may be disturbing to an audience. This goes back to his belief in realism. The world is full of controversial and disturbing things, so the world he creates has to be as close to that as possible, in order for you to identify and to be drawn into it. Chris' poetry has won awards and has been published in several poetry collections. At the age of 23, Christopher Eric Outridge has achieved his goal of being a published author when he released the first two books from his Windwill Town Book Series. As his family and friends can attest, he had set this goal in high school and worked relentlessly to achieve it. Chris has completed 13 short films and is working on creating several feature length films as well as a Windwill Town Film Series.
