Karen Bertelsen

Karen Bertelsen started her television career at TV Hamilton, Cable 14. Perhaps best well known for her non conformist commentary at Toronto's Omni (former CFMT) television, she gained a cult following and international attention. Karen's irreverent and sarcastic wit coupled with her down to earth personality earned her hosting and writing jobs at MuchMoreMusic, HTGV, W Network, Life Network and more over the course of 15 years. She was nominated for Best Host of a Lifestyle show at the Canadian Screen Awards (Geminis). In 2010 Karen Bertelsen eased out of television to found the lifestyle blog The Art of Doing Stuff. Her design, DIY and gardening work have appeared in The New York Times, Better Homes & Gardens, The Ladies Home Journal, Style at Home, Canadian Gardening and other publications. Karen continues to write her blog and contribute writing to Canadian Living, The Old Farmer's Almanac, Lee Valley, Style at Home and a variety of other national magazines and newspapers.
