Cynthia Uhrich lived and worked in Hollywood for 8 years. In addition to earning her Bachelor's in Theatre, she studied in Hollywood; first with Stuart K. Robinson, then with Alan Feinstein. She has been acting since the age of 10. In 2003, Uhrich founded In The Moment Studio, where she taught acting classes. In 2020, she closed her studio in order to focus on writing, producing and directing. Uhrich formed the non-profit, fiscally-sponsored In The Moment Films in 2010. The Mission of In the Moment Films is to provide women with filmmaking opportunities both in front of and behind the camera, and to make movies on women's issues. In 2017 she expanded the scope of her production company's work to include more commercially-profitable content; producing web content, local commercials, and presentation films. She is also the co-author of "My Life in the Purple Kingdom." Published by the University of Minnesota Press, the novel is bassist Mark Brown's (of "The Revolution") memoir about his life as a young fledgling musician and his time spent with Prince. The novel was one of Rolling Stone and Kirkus Reviews' picks for "Top Music Books of 2020."
