Sherrie Peterson is originally from Greenville, South Carolina where she graduated from the FIne Arts Center in Theatre. She then went on to study theatre at Samford University and get her MFA in Acting from Regent University. She has worked nationally and internationally on the stage in Scotland, Russia, the Ukraine, and recently performing in Germany and Austria, Her first love being theatre, she has enjoyed playing roles like M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias, Beatrice Stockwell in The Drowsy Chaperone, Essie Miller in Ah, Wilderness!, Dora Strang in Equus, and has created many original roles for playwrights of all genres. She enjoys her work in TV and Film as well. Having primarily worked in markets in the Southeast, she enjoyed working with Tyler Perry when she played Ms. Giles on House of Payne (2006) and shared the screen with Jim Carrey in I Love You Phillip Morris (2009). She recently had the opportunity of doing a scene with good friend, Tony Hale in Trouble & the Shadowy Deathblow (2014). In addition to acting, Sherrie has worked as a costumer in movies like Trouble with the Curve (2012)), What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012) when she dressed all 40 babies, and also Wanderlust (2012). Her favorite role is that of Mom to Layne and L.B. Peterson who just might follow in her slightly dramatic footsteps.
