Joshua Burt was born on March 1, 1972 in Melbourne, Australia. He has a twin sister Tiffany and a half-brother Lucas. He attended Mentone Grammar School and Monash University, Clayton. Josh is known for his work on the film Chak de! India (2007). Where he was initially engaged as a hockey technical advisor and skills coach, but his popularity on the set soon saw his roles increase to casting and choreography of many of the hockey scenes in Melbourne and Sydney. His involvement in the film culminated in him playing the role of the Australia Coach, up against Kabir Khan played by Shah Rukh Khan, coach of the Indian National Team. Josh has three children Ashleigh Paige Burt (who was also in Chak de! India) Tristan and Harley. In addition to his stint as an actor, Josh is a passionate hockey personality having coached, managed and officiated at an elite level. He was appointed by FIH, hockey's governing body to officiate at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games.
