Francesco Pultro, is an American actor born in Philadelphia, PA, to Joe & Pudgie. His first appearance on stage was in his younger sisters' dance recital. They needed boys! Later he was drawn to the stage by the passion of his high school music teacher & theater director, the late Ted Kloos. This newly acquired love for the stage plus his desire to dance led to a successful 15 year career as a dancer including the honor of working with choreographers Donald McKayle, in the Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World of the Superbowl (1977) & Pat Birch in the movie, Grease (1977), starring John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John. Following Grease, he & his wife, Mary, chose to take a "leave of absence" from performing in order to raise their family. Francesco began work at a pediatric hospital as the chaplain. He was an effective grief counselor for families who lost their children, as well as a crisis chaplain in the aftermath of several disasters including the WTC following 9/11, Hurricane Katrina (NOLA) & the Amtrak #110 train derailment of 2015. Yet he continued to work in the arts during those years, writing & directing. Once his "nest" was "empty" he took steps to reignite his acting career with roles in Rocky Balboa (2006), Attendance (2007), Hart's Ridge (2008), Survivor's Stories: el Guettar (2013), The North Star (2016), Wannabees (TV Series 2017), 'Pope: the Most Powerful Man in History' (CNN, 2018) & Abraham Lincoln: An American President (CNN, 2020).
