Eliana Ujueta

Eliana Ujueta is a native New Yorker she was born in Mount Sinai Medical Center and raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. Eliana graduated from Brooklyn College in 2007, as a film studies major. Before then she was a New York City Police Officer in the east village. She has always had a love of film so she decided to take film as an elective. From there began her passion to create movies that were both entertaining and would present a variety ways of seeing the world. In 2008, she was accepted into the School of Visual Arts as an M.F.A. candidate - in the department Photography, Video and Related Media. Focusing on the video track, she was inspired by her thesis advisor to direct her first feature - Beneath the Rock, which she wrote and produced.
