Savannah Stevenson is leading English actress known predominantly for her stage work. Her latest role is as Glinda in the West End production of 'Wicked' at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. She began performances in November 2013. She played Sybil Evers in the hit stage adaptation of Oscar winning film 'Chariots of Fire.' The production transferred from Hampstead Theatre to the West End in 2012 playing at the Gielgud theatre. It was nominated for 5 Whatsonstage Awards including Best New Play. She originated the title role in 'Simply Cinderella' which opened the new £60million Curve Theatre. She was in the original West End casts of 'Mary Poppins' and 'Gone With the Wind' directed by Sir Richard Eyre and Sir Trevor Nunn respectively. She played Kate Croy in the play 'The Wings of the Dove' opposite Susannah York and seasons at The West Yorkshire Playhouse and The Royal and Derngate Theatres. She has been linked to workshops for new stage adaptations of Evelyn Waugh's 'The loved One' and Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' and most recently the Lincoln Centre's production of 'Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown' in London, playing Paulina, directed by Barlett Sher. She played Mary, Mother of Jesus in new film version of The New Testament for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, which was filmed on location in the USA.
