Michael Hilf

Michael Hilf is an award winning American filmmaker. His film The Candidate earned the: Honorable Mention award from The 2017 Cleveland International Film Festival, The Audience Award for Best Short Film at Hell's Half Mile 2017, and The Award of Excellence from the 2017 One Reeler Short Film Competition. Michael's other awards have included Audience Favorite Short Film for A Game of Chicken at Moondance 2016 and an Award of Excellence from the 2017 Global Shorts Competition. Additionally he received five nominations at the 2017 Storymode Film Festival, including Best Original Screenplay, and two for best film/best comedy at the 2017 Way Down Film Festival. Previously, Michael founded The Film Factory in New York City where he worked as a director of local television commercials and music videos. He is a graduate of the NYU film school and lives and resides with his longtime wife, the artist Alyson Souza, in Los Angeles California.
