Curtis Thompson

Retired American professional wrestler who competed from 1987 to 2005. He debuted for the National Wrestling Alliance in North Carolina and would compete for the WWC (World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico), WCW, WWE, Stampede Wrestling, the North American Wrestling Association/South Atlantic Pro Wrestling and the USWA before returning to WCW in 1991 as Firebreaker Chip of the Patriots with Todd Champion (Todd Bradford). Firebreaker Chip's gimmick was of a wrestling firefighter and Todd Champion's was of a Gulf War Veteran. The Patriots were billed from "WCW Special Forces." They defeated the Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes (Michael Seitz) and Jimmy 'Jam' Garvin) for the WCW United States Tag Team Titles on the September 7 (taped August 12), 1991 episode of "WCW World Championship Wrestling" and held them until the Southern Boys (Tracy Smothers and Steve Armstrong (Steve James)) defeated them at a taping for the November 23 (taped November 5), 1991 "WCW Worldwide." Thompson left WCW in 1992 and would compete for the USWA, SMW, Canadian Rocky Mountain Wrestling, IWCCW, the Confederate Wrestling Alliance (Dallas, Texas), and several other promotions. Among his in-ring achievements, he is a former 2x NWA World Tag Team Champion with Drake Dawson as Triple XXX, a former NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champion with Drake Dawson, a former CWA Champion and a former NWA PNW (Pacific Northwest Wrestling in Portland, Oregon) Tag Team Champion with Ricky Santana as U.S. Male. He retired in 2005 and works for JetBlue.
