Asif Siddiky was born/raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, attended Norfolk Academy from 1989-2001, and completed his Film & Video major at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2005. In April of 2004, he (along with partners Paul Owens and James Guerriero) began working for producer Lee Daniels ("Monster's Ball") as a documentary videographer for his production company. In the Fall of 2005, he relocated to Brooklyn, New York where he currently resides. In the Spring of 2006, he teamed up with Paul Owens and Paul Levering to form "2 Player Productions," a company committed to documenting various aspects of game and music culture. Their first project was a short Behind The Scenes documentary for a production of Video Games Live, a multimedia event created by professional composer Tommy Tallarico in which video game themes are performed by a live orchestra and choir. The documentary aired as a three episode exclusive on MTV owned GameTrailers.com in January 2007. He has also served as director of photography for several videos created by popular New York based sketch comedy group, Olde English (of which his childhood friend and fellow Norfolk Academy alum, David Segal, is a member).
