Mohamed Lamine Merbah (often credited Lamine Merbah) is an Algerian filmmaker born July 28, 1946 in Tighennif in Algeria. Married and father of three children. He is also the son of Moulay Merbah, a figure of the Algerian national movement. He has produced and directed a number of films, soap operas and documentaries including "Les Déracinés", "Radhia" and "L'Afrique, and "Des Ténèbres à la Lumière" among the best known. He continued his primary studies in his city of origin Ksar Chellala (Wilaya de Tiaret), secondary school at Bencheneb high school (Wilaya de Médéa).He then joined the National Institute of Cinema (INC) between 1964 and 1967 and worked as a trainee for Polish television in 1968. a degree in sociology at the University of Algiers in 1973. From 1970, he worked at the same time for the publishing house SNED and as a director for the Radiodiffusion Télévision Algérienne.In 1988, he became general manager of the National Company of audiovisual production (ENPA) until 1995, when he fell ill and had to stay in bed for many years. In 2002, he took up the camera again to produce a soap opera: "The Broken Mirror". his company Amine Intaj with which he has signed born born several soap operas, films and documentaries.
