Samir Mehanovic

Samir Mehanovic is a Bosnian and British award winning film writer/director, who came as immigrant out of Bosnian war to Edinburgh Festival, Scotland in 1995. He developed his writer/director craft working with actors and creating theatre plays and in 2005 Samir completed MA Film and TV at the Edinburgh College of Art. Mehanovic has been nominated for UK BAFTA 2017 and received the Grand Prix Award 22nd International Short Film Festival in Drama, Greece 2016 for the short film Mouth of Hell; 2015 IDFA Special Jury Award for Documentary The Fog of Srebrenica and 2005 BAFTA award for the short film The Way We Played.
