Raised in Little Rock, Ark., Ryan Wright has been acting and writing since college. A shoulder injury ended a somewhat promising athletic career as a college linebacker (Univ. of Ark.) propelling him into entertainment. His career started as a joke writer for the No. 1 rated morning drive-time DJ in Little Rock and progressed from there. While in college Ryan also wrote and produced for the No. 1 rated news radio station in Little Rock. After proving his abilities behind the scenes he was given his own weekly Friday Night radio show which ran for two years before moving to California. Once on-air, Ryan was allowed the freedom of his own random format. He filled his hours playing Blues, Country, '80's, and Alternative music while writing his own comedy bits and weekly featured spots with his hilarious take on the news. Ryan's growing comedy reputation landed him a job as the head writer for L.I.V.E., a local sketch comedy team whose work was aired on television throughout Arkansas and regional markets in Tennessee and Mississippi. Since moving to California Ryan has written several scripts on assignment and appeared in Crazy, with Heroes star Ali Larter, playing the country music icon Eddy Arnold; the first actor to ever take on those legendary shoes on TV or Screen. Ryan is a well known sports writer covering the NFL, Major League Baseball, and the NBA but his primarily focus centers upon college football, an obvious passion for him. His sports musings can be found on Sports Illustrated and Fan Sided Network via Razorbackers.com. As a freelance sports writer his work has been featured on The Bleacher Report, Scout.com, LA Times online edition, and Yardbarker among other top online sports websites.
