Bastiaan Koch

Born of Dutch/Welsh parents in Atlanta, Georgia, Bastiaan Koch is a writer, director, and producer at the intersection of narrative, design, and digital visual effects. He is noted for his mecha and exoskeleton robotics work with Industrial Light & Magic (Bumblebee, BB8, IronMan, Gipsy Danger) over a 10+ year career within LucasFilm. At age 21, after graduating from Rugby School, England, and obtaining a degree in industrial design at Middlesex University, Bastiaan helmed Danny Boyle's film Sunshine as the Sr. model supervisor, working with MPC at 3 Mills Studios in London. Bastiaan later worked on over 15 titles with LucasFilm in San Francisco. Bastiaan is the chief executive of Marauder Productions Inc. specializing in adapting franchisable television and feature projects.
