Mónica Del Carmen

Graduated from Escuela Nacional de Arte Teatral (National School of Theater Arts). Winner of the "Ariel" award for Best Actress and the award for Best Actress granted by the Online Critics Association of Mexico in 2011, as well as the award for Best Actress at the XL International Modolist Festival in Kiev, Ukraine 2010, for her role in "Año Biciesto" by Michael Rowe, movie Winner of the Golden Camera at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2010. In 2016 she was part of the jury of the Shorts Mexico Festival and, in 2015 of the 13th Vancouver Latin American Film Festival in Canada, as well as the Durango New Mexican Film Festival. Since 2011 she has been a member of the Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas for having won an Ariel award. Monica has been awarded for the second time with the Mexican Academy of Cinema "Ariel 2020" Award as "Best Female co-performance" for the film "Asfixia" directed by Kenya Márquez. She will be performing in the new project that the Award-Winning director Michel Franco will have "Nuevo Orden" which was presented at the Venice Film Festival in 2020. Soon we will be able to see her performing in the new film by Alonso Ruizpalacios.
