She is a member of the Advisory Panel on the Archaeology of Burials in England (APABE), a founder member of the British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology (BABAO), acts as visiting lecturer to several UK Universities (Hon. Staff member University of Exeter; Research Fellow University of Cardiff), and has also worked in the associated field of forensic anthropology. Jackie has worked at Wessex Archaeology as both a Senior Fieldwork Director reporting on a wide range of excavations, and the Senior Osteoarchaeologist since 1994. She undertakes the assessment and analysis of the unburnt human remains from both in-house excavations and external clients.
