Kaplan Akincilar

Kaplan Akincilar, owner of Born in the 80s Productions, hailing from the "coolest small town in America" Lititz, PA, and residing on the Upper West Side in New York City is father to son Seraphin Ocampo Akincilar, brother to Elizabeth and Leyla Akincilar and is in a committed relationship to a wonderful loving and strong woman. Kaplan is the son of a Turkish immigrant, Onur Ali Akincilar, and a deep southern bell, Patricia Ann Akincilar. Kaplan's career started in audio production for a now defunct post production company, SoundHound Inc. With two feature length indie movies and dozens of bumpers, trailers, radio spots and commercials under his belt, Kaplan moved on from mixing, recording and sound design to writing, directing and producing. "Are You Satisfied?", Kaplan's first original production, is set to be released in the fall of 2016 with a follow up production called "Iron Friends," a reality-based cooking show. Updated 05/03/2016
