Roy C. Peterson was born among the wizened heaths and cranberry bogs of Cape Cod. His parents were antique dealers in North Falmouth. When Roy was six, they moved to Dover, Massachusetts. At Suffolk University, he studied Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy. After college, Roy supported himself as an assistant archaeologist, then as a real estate broker. In 1978 he began a program of sixty categories of private study, and in 1983 began to write non-fiction. After a skiing accident in 1993, he left the mountains of New Hampshire, and in the legendary Bullet Car, headed for the wine country of California. In 2004, Roy entered the film industry as an actor, and the following year, began studies at the Actors' Gym in Las Vegas. This led to a program of film studies and fiction writing at CSN.
