Amrit Sagar is National award winning film maker. Did his Bachelors (BFA) from California College of Arts (CCA). Winning the All College Honors Award for his short film Kab-Tak and his other short film Another Cry was screened at the Harford Film Festival. He won the Wood Malcom Writing Award for his short story, And Man Died. Started as an Asst. Director to DIR. Ramanand Sagar on the blockbuster television show Shri Krishna. Sagar started his career with Directing his first television show Hatim (Star Pus- Disney Networks) that garnered 9.6 trp the highest rated fantasy show with re-runs as the Number 1 show on Disney Channel India. He then went to make hit television shows, Hotel Kingston (Star One- Fox Networks). The all time television blockbuster Prithvi Raj Chauhan Darthi Ka Veer Yodha (Star Plus- Disney Networks) and Jai Shri Krishna which launched Colors Television (Viacom 18) and helped make it the number 1 television channel that year. Directed and Produced his first feature film 1971 (2007) which won 2 National Awards including Best Hindi Feature Film the highest award for any Indian film given by the President Of India, for excellence in the field of Entertainment. Directed the Rom-Com Rabba Main Kiya Karoon. (2013) and Produced Mr. Lieutenant Radio (2014) an enduring tale set in the 1965 India China war. Ventured into the regional film market as a Producer with the Marathi Blockbuster Mithwaa. (2015) Produced popular television shows DVD-Dekh Video Dekh (Colors TV- Viacom 18 Network). Mahaveer Hanuman (Colors TV- Viacom 18 Network). Rakhi Ka Insaaf (NDTV Imagine). Arzoo Hai Tu ( Sahara TV) Ramayan (Zee Network). Dharam Veer (NDTV Imagine). Meera (NDTV Imagine).
