David Dinerstein is an award-winning film producer and an accomplished motion picture industry executive. He co-founded Paramount Vantage and was one of the original architects of Fox Searchlight. Dinerstein has been involved in the production or distribution of over 200 movies, including "Pulp Fiction," "Summer Of Soul," "American Hustle," "Her," "The Illusionist," "The Full Monty," "Hustle & Flow," "Mad Hot Ballroom," "The Virgin Suicides," "You Can Count On Me," "The Brothers McMullen," "The Ice Storm," "The Piano," "The Crow," "sex, lies and videotape," "The Crying Game," "My Left Foot," "Cinema Paradiso," "Reservoir Dogs," and "Clerks" to name a few. He helped launch the careers of numerous iconic filmmakers including Quentin Tarantino, Steven Soderberg, Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, Paul Greengrass, Justin Lin, Sofia Coppola, Baz Luhrman, Jane Campion, and Kevin Smith. His films have garnered over 96 Academy Award Nominations and 15 Oscars. Dinerstein's documentary work includes "Mad Hot Ballroom," "Madonna: Truth Or Dare," "Paris Is Burning," Neil Young: Heart of Gold," and "Jay-Z: Fade To Black." He produced the documentary "Summer Of Soul," winner of the 2021 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award. Dinerstein also produced "Winter On Fire," which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary, and "Cries From Syria," which he was nominated for an Emmy Award. He is a graduate of Boston University and is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
