Born in New York City, Ariella was raised in northern New Jersey. At an early age she was exposed to the world of design, space, and art, which inspired her greatly in the arts. Though she loved visual art, she attended NYU where she graduated with honors. She studied in Orvieto, Italy with a late Prize winning director, the Chorus Repertory Theatre, and the Moscow Art Theatre; and ended up leaving New York early to come to LA where there was more film. While based in NYC, she received rave reviews for the NYU revival productions of Rose in "The Woolgatherer" and "Les Liasions Dangereuses." She also starred in "Electra," "The Tempest," and classically: as well as in plays like "A Lesson in Dead Language," which were more obtuse, at Playwrights Horizons. She also worked at the Aquila Theatre Company. Visual art is something always done.
