Ysmahane Yaqini

Ysmahane was born in Paris with Moroccan origin. She has studied theater at the university, in parallel she has studied art of clown and mask. Then she has done several workshops with Peter Brook, Ariane Mnouchkine, Simon Abkarian... and in English with Nadine George and Hideki Noda in London. From 2001 to 2015 she has been directed by Irina Brook in The Odyssée, The Good Soul of Setchouan, The Tempest! and The Island of Slaves. She also played in theater with Gilberte Tsai, Khalid Tamer, Hervé Petit, Thissa d'Avila Bensalah and actually with Vincent Clergironnet and Alexis Michalik. In cinema, she has been directed by Farid Lozes, Maeva Poli, Marion Lary, Thomas Vincent, Sam Karman and lately by Bania Medjbar.
