Luise Brinkmann was born in 1985 in Beckum, Germany. She is a director and writer, known for the TV features Malibu (2022), Zitterinchen (2022), the TV-series Schloss Einstein (2020 / 2022) and the award winning web series Emma's World (2014). Her first independent feature, Beat Beat Heart (2016) was awarded the 'Special Price' for ensemble-spirit and energy in the category "New German Cinema" at the Filmfest Munich 2016 and ran in the competition at Slamdance Filmfestival 2017. Her independently produced film A Last Hurrah (2020) won "Best German Film" at the Universal Film Festival and "Best Film - Middle Length" at the Independent Star Filmfest Munich in 2021. Luise Brinkmann is a member of ProQuote Film and WIFT Germany and was part of the Into The Wild Mentoring Program. In Germany, she is represented by the Agency Adam.
