Matt Bissett-Johnson is known for his work on Recovery (1996), Chloroplasm (2006) and Heartbreak Motel (2008) but is probably better known as a political cartoonist for the Melbourne Observer and Arena. He is also a science fiction illustrator and caricature artist. He was awarded the Stan Cross Award for Animator Cartoonist 2015 by the Australian Cartoonist Association. Recent animations include A Voyage Through the Mind Hole (2015), Alone (2015) and Mittens of Star Command (2015).
