Texas born and Arkansas raised, Travis Owens always seemed to have a natural knack for impersonations and performing. He also figured out at an early age that maybe if he worked really hard, he might actually be able to make a living at it someday. This was a boy and now a man with a plan! After some unprecedented encouragement and some unorthodox advice from an acting coach, he actually turned down a university scholarship to boldly move west to pursue his two great passions, Acting and Comedy. Owens has always felt right at home on stage with a mic and no net so, he zeroed in on Stand-Up at night, while auditioning during the day. He has made a name for himself performing his material laced with comical characters, keen observations and amusing true life stories in major comedy clubs all over the U.S. Fortunately, this success then allowed him to avidly pursue acting. After earning some real on set experience and landing some national commercials, Owens was cast in Friday Night Lights on NBC and also in Sordid Lives-The Series. Shortly after, he planted himself in Los Angeles for good. He has since written, produced and starred in a few of his own projects like Cecil and Roland, Actor/Waiter as well as booking some films such films and TV shows as: My Haunted House, OMG: EMT, Audacity, It's Not That Simple. Avidly focusing on sharpening his craft of acting with some of Hollywood's best, Travis can still be found trying to squelch his insatiable appetite to perform Stand-Up comedy in some of the biggest and best comedy clubs in and around L.A.
