Casey James

Casey James (Pokrifchak) was born and raised in Puyallup, WA and began acting and auditioning for film and television roles at the age of eight. His mother, Carol had worked with renowned and prominent Seattle casting director, Patti Kalles as a teacher prior to Patti changing professions and making a huge impact in the Seattle film scene in the eighties. As a result and as fate would have it, Casey was asked to audition for [The Neverending Story] which shaped and influenced the course of Casey's ambitious future. He later attended the University of Washington and continued to study acting (while on a student exchange) at the University of Hawaii Monoa with Professor Glenn Cannon and former actor [Hawaii Five-O, Magnum PI] securing an exclusive spot by sheer determination, fast- talking, and raw talent. Moving to Los Angeles and early on, Casey booked and was featured in television and film roles such as [CW's Summerland, David Chase's The Sopranos, Cameron Crowe's Elizabethtown] and resumed studies with the likes of LA Legends Howard Fine, Michelle Danner, and Anthony Meindl at AMAW studios. Recently, he has been featured and co-starred in the long running-CBS drama [The Young & the Restless] starring opposite (Josh Morrow); [Bleeding Hearts: The Arteries of Glenda Bryant] starring opposite (Emmy winner Carolyn Hennesy); [The Madalorian] premiere 'Star Wars' series for Disney Streaming produced by Jon Favreau and was cast as a very select 'Storm Trooper' in multiple episodes throughout the First Season playing opposite (Werner Herzog, Carl Weathers); and is also producing his first film and has a major supporting role in [Background] an industry dark comedy featuring (Ricky Schroder, Michael Buscemi, and Steven Bauer) scheduled for filming sometime in early 2020. Casey's athletic achievements are still obvious with a continued fitness regime. This, added with an ever-growing acting range, resounding baritone speaking voice, and an overall love and respect for the work, make him a contender for whatever promising projects await in his future.
