Jane was born and raised in Harrow, London, and all through childhood loved to write, create, watch and read stories. Top of her School at 11 for creative writing, Jane also studied ballet seriously and choreography until her early teens, but left School at 16. She kept writing for personal reasons, and began to feel really drawn to writing seriously in her early 30's when she wrote a set of poems to go with a photographic exhibition. She then reclaimed and grew a childhood passion that led to developing screenplays to use to direct films. She made her first micro budget feature, 'Gracie' over several years because at the time when everyone else was racing to shoot on digital, she chose Super 16, (which she doesn't regret!) This meant she had finance problems, also common at the time, the Lab went under, and the rushes were nearly lost. For a while 'Gracie' was even shelved, due to post production issues and difficulties as Super 16 struggled to maintain a foothold in the UK, and attract finance. However, she also successfully completed an MA at Goldsmiths in London during this time, having been accepted on the the strength of her writing, without any other formal college certification, and 'Gracie' was finally, successfully released. Jane is now working on several projects as a writer and director, both digital and on film which now happily has its place again, and is poised to make her second feature.
