Ahku is an Actor/ Rapper who is continuing his pursuit in the entertainment industry. While pursuing this quest, Ahku is actively producing music, performing and acting on TV shows and Films. He starred as Raymond Ross on the ID Network's hit TV show, "I Almost Got Away with It" and as Darnel on the TV series "Red Sleep". He was also featured in "Everyday Black Man" starring Omari Hardwick and Tessa Thompson. Known for his unmistakable deep baritone voice, he is known to many as the voice over for the Santa Cruz Parks & Recreation TV commercials. Ahku has appeared on albums and numerous Hip Hop compilations with rapper "Snoop Dogg" and "The Game" just to name a few. Ahku was raised on the grounds of San Quentin State Prison. Along with his older sisters, his mother and step father (a lieutenant of the prison), he had his life story filmed in a hybrid documentary, "Know What I'm Saying" directed by Rick Parrott, Trojan Vision, and co-written by Ahku. This film is a documentation of Ahku's life as an entertainer. Ahku's "aha moment" came in 2003, when cast as a gang member alongside actor, Anthony Mackie in Spike Lee's film "Sucker Free City." Truly inspired by rapper/actor Tupac Shakur who he met while they were in high school and one of his high school teachers. Ahku was determined to be one who stood out from the crowd. With that being said Ahku feels his biggest accomplishments came when he invited his high school teacher to the set of one of the Television shows he worked on. As well as his mother being able to see him reach some of his goals before she passed. Ahku is driven to make his mark in the entertainment industry.
