Matt Conant is a screenwriter and director under the banner Cinevore Studios, where he creates and develops scripted original series. Matt is most well known as a writer on Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return, and writer and performer on digital series Nerd vs. Geek, Living in 8 Bits, and Society: Why It's Wrong. Matt co-wrote and directed short comedy series "Moot" for Articulate with Jim Cotter on WHYY-TV in Philadelphia. His satirical blog series "Society: Why It's Wrong" was featured on Upworthy for its logical deconstruction of the concept of "Fake Geek Girls" in male-dominated arenas. His writing primarily blends comedy, genre and gaming subject matter. Matt has also produced projects for commercial clients including Ebay, Johnson & Johnson, and Jefferson Hospital. Along with Stephanie Yuhas, Matt is the co-founder of Project Twenty1, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that runs career-development programs for emerging filmmakers, including the 21-Day Filmmaking Competition and Philadelphia Film & Animation Festival. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University with a BA in Film & Media Arts. He lives in Los Angeles, CA.
