Born in Kettering, Northants, Jamie grew up with a keen eye on the visual arts. He graduated from Lincoln University in 2008, where he studied Contemporary Lens Media. It was here he found his passion for writing, directing, and storyboarding. His horror short Flesh Forum, was chosen by Orange to appear on their mobile download section of their website in 2007. In 2008, after having wrote and directed several short films, Jamie co-wrote, produced, and directed horror short 8ight Limbs, along with fellow graduate and friend, Daniel Anscombe. A trailer-cum-internet viral was made for the film and won the Total Film Award for Best Trailer, at the inaugural IceWhole Awards, an event held in London, October 2008. Following on from the success of 8ight Limbs, he went on to direct Monkeyshine, a micro-budget short film, shot in the surrounding areas of his hometown. From here Jamie began to develop his film storyboarding skills further and worked on US teen slasher feature, The Summoning. Jamie continued to work for various production companies, producing storyboards for short film projects. In 2011, he set up film & video production company RedScar, specialising in commercial film and promotional pieces for businesses. RedScar's first self-distribution venture was for promotional-documentary 'Straight Talking Guy'. Alongside running RedScar, Jamie freelances as a story board artist for all types of visual media. In May 2013, Jamie entered RedScar into a Local Business Accelerator scheme, of which RedScar was shortlisted in the final 3 for Northamptonshire. He went on to win the regionals, and although not making it to the final national selection, many new business opportunities and contacts presented themselves through the LBA scheme. RedScar is developing their first narrative short film, and Jamie continues to build a large client base in the UK and US with his storyboard work.
