Liz Rowley was born Elizabeth Marie Mae Rowley in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Leonard Rowley and Irene Johnson. She is the youngest of six siblings. She's part Native American, both of her parents being Cherokee and Choctaw. Liz has worked in many different departments in the industry from Wardrobe, Art, and Production. She is a Producer, Published Writer, Director, and founder of Mackwood Studios, a production company in the Los Angeles area. Her aspirations are to bring social issues to the lime light through Cinema, VR, and other New Media platforms. Focusing on Native American Culture and History through the lens of cinema, as well as Suicide Prevention, a personal issue that led her 2012 traveling across the U.S. Mexico, and Canada filming a documentary on effects of suicide.
