Canadian actress, Rae Farrer, was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. The youngest of 11 children, she was never without an audience or the inspiration she relished in the forms of music, art, film, and TV. Her mother, a painter and seamstress, indulged Rae's creative pursuits from piano and jazz lessons to her self-choreographed dance recitals. As an adult, Rae crossed the border to Detroit to take in all the live music, theatre, and innovative culture the city had to offer. She graduated from the University of Windsor with a BA in English Literature and a BSc in Biological Sciences. After spending time in the corporate world, Rae moved to Calgary, Alberta where she discovered the Company of Rogues Actors' Studio, heeding the call to pursue an acting career. Since completing the Master Class Program at this New York style studio, she has performed in plays for Rogues Theatre and Workshop Theatre Calgary, and has booked many film and television roles. While acting remains her number one love, Rae continues to grow creatively with training in screenwriting and improvisation. In 2018 she wrote, starred in, and directed her first short screenplay, The Winds, for which she received a Best Actress nomination in the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers' Stinger Awards. The film was featured at Toronto's Female Eye Film Festival in 2019.
