The beautiful, petite doll who was an uncredited extra on such shows as "Good Times" and "What's Happening" was a face known but name unknown for many years, she stood out more then any other extra in the late 1970s on television because of her beauty, charm, and aura, who's that girl or what's her name questions will now cease because now fans of "Good Times" and "What's Happening" can put a name to the face, she is Rani DuBois, daughter of one of the most lovable character actresses Ja'Net DuBois, who's best known as Willona from the legendary television show "Good Times" and singer of the legendary television show "The Jeffersons" theme song "Movin' On Up." Starting in 1976, Rani was an extra on various episodes of "Good Times" but it was on "What's Happening" where Rani got an opportunity to show her potential as an actress, from 1976 to 1979 she had significant parts as a student, cheerleader, and as a date, but she's best remembered from episode "Shirley's Date" as Maxine who threw a cup of punch in Dwayne's face for breaking a date with her. If anything Rani's one of the most beloved extras in television history and her contributions to the legendary television shows "Good Times" and "What's Happening" are enjoyed and appreciated because she had the talent of making her presence known with her magnetic aura, doll-like beauty, and charm that exuded on the television even in small parts and as an extra without lines.
