Blanca Linda Avalos is a professional SAG/AFTRA Actor working in film and television. Blanca has 3 films currently circulating the Film Festivals! Blanca booked the LEAD role in "SHADOW OF THE MONARCH" an edgy thriller trilogy! "SHADOW OF THE MONARCH" was recently picked up for distribution & made it's WORLD PREMIERE to customers on Amazon Prime, Comcast, Xfinity, Vudu, ITunes & XBox! "Shadow of the Monarch" is available in the USA, as well as Canada & New Zealand! Blanca was also part of an "AWARD WINNING" short "OIL AND VINEGAR" which was the "OFFICIAL SELECTION" at the NYC CHAIN FILM FESTIVAL where she booked a SUPPORTING role & "THE BENWAYS OF BALTIMORE" where she booked a LEAD role in this controversial film written by Janet Barber! Notable roles have been a Co-Star role on "HOUSE of CARDS" where she was directed by DAVID FINCHER as well as a Supporting role on "Family." "FAMILY" made it's world debut at the 2009 Pan African Film & Arts Festival. "I CAN'T SAY HOW MANY LIVES WE TOUCHED WITH THIS FILM!" "FAMILY" is a coming-of-age dramedy centering on the lives of a group of lesbian friends who all experience continual strife in their personal and professional lives as a result of being closeted. Blanca COMPLETED A 2 YEAR FULL TIME PROGRAM AT "THE WILLIAM ESPER STUDIO" IN NY & studied with renown "WILLIAM ESPER", "SUZANNE ESPER" & "BRUCE MCCARTY". Training consisted of MEISNER TECHNIQUE, VOICE & SPEECH, ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE, MOVEMENT, ANIMAL WORK AND MASK! Blanca also worked w/ Ted Bardy at TED BARDY STUDIOS (MEISNER) in NY as well as studying with MARGIE HABER, SANDE SHURIN, CATLIN ADAMS & THE BRAMON GARCIA BRAUN STUDIO in LA.
