Maya Henselek is an actress of Filipino and German descent. In addition to her native tongue of German, she is also fluent in English and French. She is known for her compelling performances in international film productions such as "The Forbidden Woman" and "Prince Eugene and the Ottoman Empire." Her multicultural and multilingual background enables her to believably portray a wide array of ethnicities in both comedic and dramatic roles. Maya Henselek was born in Bottrop, Germany to a German father and a Filipino mother. She spent her childhood and youth in the Rhineland, and later studied German and French literature at the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf. She completed her training as an actress at the Vienna Conservatory and at the Cours Florent, Paris. Maya Henselek performed in several theater productions throughout the course of her artistic training. Shortly after her graduation, she debuted in the Austrian television market, appearing on "Die Steintaler" - a television series set in paleolithic times that parallels the story of "Romeo and Juliet." With her portrayal of the young protagonist, Alva, this show marked Maya Henselek's first recurring television role. Since then, Maya Henselek has appeared in numerous exciting productions - for both film and television - on the domestic and international level.
