Matthew Abaya

A graduate of San Francisco State Universities Asian American Studies Department, Matthew Abaya is a writer, director and visual effects artist whose work has been seen in award winning music videos and short films. His first feature length motion picture "Vampariah" (2016) is based on his short film "Bampinay" (2003) which uses cultural influences and the horror/sci-fi genera as a vehicle to discuss race and identity. He also taught a Digital Arts classes for at risk high school students in the San Francisco Bay Area.
