Robert Monell

Robert Monell is a writer, producer and director of films, videos and plays. He has written plays for The Contemporary Theater of Syracuse, where several had staged readings. He has made films in 8mm, Super 8mm, 16mm starting in 1971 with the 8mm short "The Starving Hand". His films are a synthesis of experimental, horror and science fiction formats. He has also worked in various technical capacities on the films of other directors and producers. His most recent productions include writing and co-producing "Return of the Bloodsucking Nazi Zombies", a 2010 4 part web series made in Russia by director Mathis Vogel, which is available in Spain on DVD and Blu-ray. He wrote the screenplay for the science fiction video "Zombie 2024", which was produced and directed by Mathis Vogel in Voronezh in 2012. His current project is "Videohunter", a compilation of an open ended series of video shorts shot exclusively with a mobile phone camera.
