Alex Marino is an American actor best known for his portrayal in Shel Silverstein's The Devil & Billy Markham, a one-man show that embodies a variety of characters including God, Satan, the Narrator, a sleazy Talent Agent, and a back-woods Country Hick. Alex was born to artist Judy Granger and Aerospace engineer Sam Marino. Alex's mother came from a family of performers. Her father, Richard Granger, was a vaudevillian dancer and her aunt Dorothy Granger performed in hundreds of films with such greats as Laurel & Hardy, W.C. Fields, The Three Stooges, and many more. Their grandmother was Clara Wilcox, sister to real estate developer Harvey Henderson Wilcox, who founded Hollywood in 1887. Alex discovered acting through his friend and mentor Lonny Stevens, by working in front of, and behind the scenes, in various stage and multi-media productions, which led to the formation of CAP Studio; a multi-functional venue in Sherman Oaks California, hosting a wide array of stage shows, film screenings and productions each year. Alex's film career began in 2009, with a tremendous learning experience in The Telemarketers: 36 Hrs (2009), with Roscoe Lee Browne, Tracy Nelson, and Marian McCargo.
