Paulina holds a B.A. in Communications and a B.A of Filmmaking at Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in Mexico City specializing in Production and Film Directing. In her professional career, Paulina started as film production coordinator and production manager in advertising. A few years later, she participated as sound recordist in several short and feature films. In 2011 Paulina was DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Scholarship-holder invited by the Film University Babelsberg (Potsdam, Germany). As a film director she has worked in short films from 2004 to now. Her film 'Two out of three' has been selected in 47 film festivals around the world including the 27th Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG); 21th Biarritz International Film Festival, France; the 15th Seoul International Youth Film Festival (SIYFF), South Korea & New Filmmakers, New York. The film has received Best Screenplay and a special jury mention for acting in the 7th Short Shorts Mexico; Best film at the 2nd International Short Film Festival Mexico (FIC) México; Best Student Short Film in the 16th International Short Film Festival Sleepwalkers, Estonia; Best Short Film, Best Actress and Best Screenplay of the 6th International Short Film Festival (FIC), Mexico; and Best Short Film at the 3rd Caixa de Curtas, Latin America TV (TAL), Brazil. In 2013, she was selected by Emir Kusturica to participate in the Küstendorf International Film & Music Festival as one of the best new latin American directors of 2012. In 2015 her short film 'Oak leaves' was premiered in the official selection at Morelia International Film Festival, 2015; and also recently it had the first screening in Albania, Germany, the United States and the Latin American Film Market FICG, 2016. Her last feature length documentary in development 'That Place Called Babylon' got the DocsLab-National Association of Latino Independent Producers Award in the International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City, DocsMx, 2016.
