Thomas Paul is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Boise, Idaho. Thomas is adept in a diverse range of musical genres spanning from garage rock to lounge blues to folk and, according to The Idaho Statesman he "is a talented dude. He's been in more Boise bands than any sane musician should, and he plays essentially any instrument with strings or keys plopped in front of him. He's also eccentric. Can music be funky and ominous? Paul's can." His talents are demonstrated on vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard, mandolin and accordion both in live performances and on his albums Goodbye, Waterloo... and House on Fire. When he's not leading his own band, Thomas can also be found adding to the sounds of other great Northwest performers including Nick Jaina, Bill Coffey, Gizzard Stone, aka Belle, New Transit, and others. In addition to performing, he also shares his love of music as a DJ and V3 Radio host for Radio Boise KRBX Fridays from 9a-12p, by teaching private lessons at Old Boise Music Studios, and as an instructor for Boise Rock School and TrICA (Treasure Valley Institute for Children's Arts). Thomas is currently at work on his 3rd through 5th albums, which will incorporate elements of classical composition, modern dance electronica and gothic bedroom folk, in no particular order.
