Matt Alt's has been working as a professional translator & freelance writer since the early 1990s. He's based in Tokyo. He's co-founder of AltJapan Co. Ltd., a translation company specializing in the localization of video games, films, books, animation & other entertainment. He's co-author of numerous books about Japan such as Yokai Attack! The Japanese Monster Survival Guide. He's also a contributor to CNN, the Japan Times, the New Yorker & many other publications.
