A'Cire Newby, also known as "The Real A'Cire" is an American Actress, Author, Director, Model, Producer, and Script Writer. She was born in Newport News, Virginia. The mother of four holds a degree as a surgical technologist, but her love of the arts has become the main focus of her career. She started her career as a model in local fashion shows and for aspiring photographers. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia in early 1999 she would be invited to be a guest on a radio program at Atlanta's AM radio station Love 860. That interview would land her the opportunity to host her own radio show called "Community Spirit". Hosting a radio show and being a voice over talent placed her in the right circles to get noticed. In 2006, while filling in for a model at a birthday party for rapper Too Short, A'Cire would get noticed by the CEO of the famous Source Magazine, Jeremy "Jay" Mills. Mr. Mills was looking for a featured model for his own magazine "Down Magazine". A'Cire's test photo shoot became the photo of choice and she became "Down Magazine" first featured model. The open door would lead her to be featured in several other magazines and even landing her, her first acting role in rapper Daz Dillinger's feature film "Make It Rain" as Lolita. A'Cire would go on to be seen on the Maury Povicch show "Secret Crush", and Sundance T.V.'s "Hap and Leonard". While keeping busy as an extra, and stand-in (recently as a stand-in for Cynthia Erivo on Season 3 of Genius Arethia) on countless television and films, she continues to script, direct, and produce her own shows. Her main focus has been her talk show called, "Emerging Beyond with A'Cire" airing on Georgia's Comcast Dekalb 25 television station. Her interviews have featured Civil Rights icon and actress Elizabeth Omilami, Paralympian Curtis Lovejoy, and Mason Pryor (son of Richard Pryor) to name a few. She is also author of novels, "On The Polepit", and "Camouflaged Life".
