Born on June 4th, 1966 in Providence, Rhode Island to William and Jeanne. Michael grew up loving Star Trek, sci-fi, and Horror movies. As a youngster, he would edit 8mm home movies that his mother had taken which got him started in movie making. Had got very interested in editing when he received his first VCR in 1983 and then went out to get another VCR and a camera to do video editing. He then took all the 8mm movies his mother had and set them onto VHS tape and also added a music track. He then began to take movies of his relatives weddings and setting up a "Professional Style" movie for them as wedding presents. In 2004, Micheal became part of the team at Star Trek: New Voyages living his dream of being in, and being part of Star Trek. While there, he learned everything he could about directing, producing, and acting. It was proposed to James Cawley, Executive Producer of Star Trek: New Voyages that Michael be given permission to start a new Star Trek Series called....Star Trek: The Early Voyages which would star Michael as Captain Robert April, the first Captain of the Starship Enterprise. Pre production began, but was soon canceled. With the love of the horror genre, Michael and his friend, Mark Rudge decided to produce a zombie movie. They created Tarbox Productions and Bloodline Studio. At first, it was going to be a remake of the 1980 film "Night of the Zombies". As the story was written however, there were so many changes to the script that they decided to rename all the cast and rename the movie to "Operation: Dead 1". This movie stars Micheal, Mark, Charles Root (see Star Trek: New Voyages) and several unknown actors from the Atlanta area where it was also shot in it's entirety. This feature length film was shot, directed, and edited, by Michael including some very complex special effects. This film is slated to be released on Halloween of 2007. Their next project, which is in pre-production and scheduled to start filming in February 2008, is called "Special Affects" which is the story of a young special effects artist that takes her on a bloody killing spree. Using her video camera and taping it, she adds it to her movies, but claims it is just an effect. But we learn that there is an outside force which drives her to commit murder. Tarbox Productions and Bloodline Studio set a goal to produce at least 2 movies per year starting in 2008 Michael's next assignment in Star Trek is a "Tri" role of Director, Editor, and Actor in the pilot called.."He Who Draws The Sword". This Star Trek adventure, set completely in the "Mirror Universe" produced by "Breakaway Mooon Productions and CLB Studios". This is a huge stepping stone for Michael's directing career. Shooting for the pilot begins in June of 2008. Micheal has 4 children: Amanda M. -- May 9, 1989, Elizabeth E. -- April 24, 1990, Kurt M. -- January 26, 1992, Nicholas M. -- December 11, 1993.
