Andy was born as "Bo Anders Peter Svensson" on the 6th June of 1965 in Bro, in the vicinity of Stockholm, Sweden. His mother Anna-Maria Andersson was a nurse from Borlänge and his father Bo Eddy Svensson, an electrical engineer from Gothenbourg. During a a 3 months sales training course his father had at his new company, the whole family went to the United States in July 1969, They stayed in Palo Alto (CA), San Francisco, Boston, Toronto & New York. With 6 years of age, he took his first pictures of the neighbor kids with an old Photo camera of his father. In 1972 his father got a job offered in Switzerland from the American firm he worked for in Stockholm. He went to Primary school in 1972 & 1979 to the High School in Hünenberg, in the Canton of Zug, Switzerland. 14 Years old, he started to make short feature films on Super 8mm Film with his High School Classmate David Din. In 1984 his parents divorced and he stayed with his father until 1988, when his father got married again. In the cellar of the house, he had an Editing- and projection room, where he worked on his film projects. They made 6 Super 8mm short Films and one feature film, which they wrote on the PC of Andy's father. Andy & David produced, filmed, edited and synchronized their Films. They took part on a couple of Film-Festivals and screenings in Switzerland & Germany. In 1985 they reached the 3rd place at the Youth Film Festival in Zürich, and in 1986 their 8 Min. black and white Slapstick Film "Johnny the Gambler" got broadcast in a youth program on Swiss TV, where they also appeared in the TV-Studio for a brief interview. After High School he studied for architecture draftsman and worked after his apprenticeship another 4 years in the field. In 1984 he started to work on the long feature film "The Hunted" with David. The project became a bit too big for them and ended up edited, but unfinished, because they lacked the sound equipment for a proper Sound mix. He applied for the HFF Film School in Munich, but didn't get a place, so he quit his job in 1990, tramped with backpack and camera around the world in 120 days. Back from his trip with 4800 pictures, he got a job as audiovisual technician in Zürich. In 1991 he produced his first Video about a Dance Ball Event with a Dance Competition in the Latin American Dances. Since Camera jobs seldom came up in his job, he changed field and worked 3 years as Vendor for a Photo-, Radio-TV-shop, as well as in a Computer shop. The Computer shop business wasn't going well and animated him to take a business management course 3 years later. Through a one year Audiovisual Assistant course he got a job as Video Operator at Primetime Post- Production for 8 years and then another year at Ultra Images in Zürich. In his free time, he documented Life- Events and presentations. In 2003 he started his own Company "Vision Image Media, Andy Svensson" in Baar (ZG) with some small Video & Film- transfer orders. With time he got more and better freelance jobs to film, edit, copying & DVD-Authoring for documentation purposes. In 2004 he visited his Tibetan Godchild refugee girl, which he had supported for 12 years in India and filmed in the SOS Tibetan Children's Village Bylakuppe for 2 weeks, as well as 2 more weeks in summer 2005. In 2007 he got a place to study full time "Film- & TV Producing" at the "New York Film Academy" in Hollywood and had an Internship in Development and Producing at "Maya Pictures". He produced 2 first semester short feature Films for other students, 3 Thesis short Films and a documentary about Alexandru David, a Dancer, Actor & Stuntman, as well as about his Tibetan Godchild in India. Back in Switzerland he released "Border Stories" and some other short Films successfully World Wide at International Film Festivals. In Zürich he worked as Production Manager on short Films and in 2016 for the Feature Film: "Der lautlose Schrei" (The silent cry) by Gabriel Da Silva.
