Dana Lerer is an Israeli actress and director, based in Tel Aviv. She was born in Ness Ziona, a small town near Tel Aviv which her great grandfather has founded in 1883. Her talent and passion for performing arts became visible at an early age. As a teenager, Dana studied acting, singing and piano and performed in a professional singing group. After her army service as a museum instructor at the IDF museum, and a period of two month in a JCC summer camp in Ann Arbor as a Drama& Music counselor, Dana enrolled in a three-year acting program at the "Nissan Nativ Performing Arts Studio" to receive classical training. Nissan Nativ is one of Israel's finest acting studios, only 15 students are selected every year out of hundreds. After finishing her studies and performing in several theater productions she enrolled in a four-year B.A program in the film&television department in Tel Aviv university and was selected to the directors program based on her short film "screen test" which she wrote directed and acted in. Dana is also known for her recent theater roles, and her latest short film "Ella's wedding day" which she also wrote, directed and acted in. The film was selected to more then dozen film festivals around the world among them Palm Beach international film festival and DCshort.
