John Gutierrez

John Gutierrez is an award-winning director from California. He has lived and worked in New York, London, and South Africa all of which has brought a global perspective to his work. He is known for the feature film Sons of the Sea (2021) and the documentary feature Landmines (2020). His short films Twilight of the Masters (2015), Three Days Gone (2016) and Equinimity have screened in several international film festivals as well as being exhibited at the Balenciaga Museum in Spain and The Wallace Collection in London. Before directing John edited music videos for Beyonce, Regina Spektor, Duffy and many others. He was an editor for the Tom Petty Documentary, [title= tt0965382] directed by Peter Bogdanovich which went on to win a Grammy award for best long form video.
