Born outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Shannon Sylvia still holds true to her New England roots. She is a reputed haunting survivor who experienced 21 years of traumatizing poltergeist activity in her childhood home located on the site of King Phillip's war. Upon moving away from the home and purchasing real estate across town, she realized the 125 year old school house she purchased was also haunted but by different spirits. She appears on several national and international ghost hunting and paranormal related television shows on SyFy, A&E Channel, Discovery and Travel channel. Shannon introduced the 'Ghost Hunting Grid Laser' to the world and the use of the multi-faceted laser went viral. She is the co-inventor of the iWay, a Ouija Board planchette that measures finger pressure and has been raved about in Fate and Mysteries Magazines. She published her first book with famed occultist and author, Katie Boyd, called 'Paranormal Unwrapped', in December of 2012 via Schiffer Publishing. It quickly received a five star review by Examiner.com. She is also a professional speaker at colleges and universities across the nation on the topic of the paranormal. She resides in a rural town just south of New Hampshire, raising chickens, turkeys and is a metal-detecting enthusiast. She volunteers her time preserving artifacts and researching historical items for numerous organizations.
